The production company THINK will film episodes in Mallorca and Menorca during this September and October
We start with a brand new project! This week we began working on Spain Passion, a Chinese tv show that will film all around Spain during the next months.
The show will have eight 45min episodes, they will narrate the story of 2 young Chinese girls, Shu and Yuh, who will explore Spain’s main tourist destinations with the help of Rafa, a young Spaniard who loves Chinese culture. He will represent Spain’s lifestyle and culture, showing the girls our special way of enjoying life.
Spain Passion will be filmed in different locations, including Majorca and Minorca to show some of the attractive locations and unique experiences that our islands have to offer, such as our active tourism industry, gastronomy, architecture, culture, nature and landscapes.
This road movie works to establish an emotional connection with the viewers by presenting people and places in a different and funny way. It will be aired in China’s most view TV channels and digital platforms, with the help of a powerful social media strategy both in China and Spain through Weibo, Wechat, Douyin, Meipai, etc.
Spain Passion is made for a very specific sector of the Chinese society: urban youth in their 20s and 30s with a high purchasing power whose main interest is travelling to distinct locations and learning abour culture, gastronomy and traditions. Spain Passion does all of that all while respecting and understanding their own Chinese culture and point of view, by showing Spain through the eyes and the mobile phones of two young Chinese women and their Spaniard friend and guide.
Filming began last May 24th in Valladolid. During the following months Shu and Yuh have been exploring Spain together with Rafa. Filming in Valladolid lasted until May 30th , then the team moved on to Madrid. They will continue to Santander, La Rioja, Bilbao, Mallorca, Menorca, Barcelona, Málada, Granada and Seville.
The project is produced by THINK, a new Spanish production company based in Madrid and Valladolid, which has strong powerful business relationships with China and India. The episodes filmed in Mallorca and Menorca will be co-produced by PowerHouse Hub. The TV show has already received the support of major private Spanish companies with international recognition, like El Corte Inglés, NH Group and Renault, among many others, as well as various public organizations.
Spain Passion will land in the Balearic Islands with the invaluable help of Mallorca Film Commission, Fundació Mallorca Turisme and Fundació Foment del Turisme de Menorca, as well as many other local companies.
